Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Important: Add 40 ml (1.3 fl oz) of refrigerant oil to the refrigeration system when installing a new condenser dryer.

Position the receiver into the vehicle.
Install the receiver (6) to the condenser. Install the 2 screws (7).

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
Install the tube to the condenser. Secure with the bolt (5).
Tighten

Tighten the bolt (5) to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).
Install the liquid tube to the receiver. Secure with the bolt (4).
Tighten

Tighten the bolt (4) to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).
Install the pressure switch (3) to the receiver. Refer to AIR CONDITIONING (A/C) REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT .
Evacuate and recharge the air conditioning system. Refer to REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND RECHARGING .
Operate the A/C system and test for refrigerant leaks. Refer to LEAK TESTING .
