Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Important:  When installing a new hose assembly add 30 ml (1.0 fl oz) of refrigerant oil to the system.

  1. Discharge and recover the refrigerant. Refer to REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND RECHARGING  .

    Important:  Cap the open fittings to prevent dirt and moisture from entering the refrigeration system.

  2. Remove the bolt (10) and the outlet tube from the receiver (9).

  3. Remove the bolt (1) from the hose bracket.
  4. Remove the evaporator liquid hose (4) from the evaporator tube.
  5. Remove the evaporator liquid hose from the vehicle.
