Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install new O-rings lubricated with 525 viscosity mineral oil.
  2. Position the evaporator liquid hose into the vehicle.
  3. Install the evaporator liquid hose (4) to the evaporator liquid tube.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  4. Install the evaporator hose bracket to the vehicle. Secure with the bolt (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the evaporator hose bracket bolt (1) to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the evaporator liquid tube to the receiver (9). Secure with the bolt (10)

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolt (10) to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).

  6. Evacuate and recharge the refrigerant system. Refer to REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND RECHARGING  .
  7. Operate the A/C system and test for refrigerant leaks. Refer to LEAK TESTING  .
