Oil Pump Installation

- Install the oil pump drive. Do this by twisting the oil pump drive into place.NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
- Install the oil pump drive bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the oil pump drive bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
- Heat the oil pump drive shaft retainer in hot water.
- Install the oil pump drive shaft retainer on the oil pump drive shaft.
Important: Do not crack the oil pump drive shaft retainer when installing the oil pump drive shaft.
- Install the oil pump drive shaft into the oil pump.
- Install the oil pump.
- Install the bolt that attaches the oil pump to the rear main bearing cap.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt that attaches the oil pump to the rear main bearing cap to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).
