Oil Pan Installation

Apply a 5 mm (0.193 in) diameter bead of GM P/N United States 12346286, GM P/N Canada 10953472, or equivalent, to the oil pan side sealing flanges.

Apply GM P/N United States 12346286, GM P/N Canada 10953472, or equivalent, to the oil pan surface that contacts the engine front cover.

Install a new oil pan rear seal. Apply a small amount of GM P/N United States 12346286, GM P/N Canada 10953472, or equivalent, to the oil pan rear seal ears.

Install the oil pan.

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
Install the oil pan nuts.
Tighten

Tighten the oil pan nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Install the oil pan bolts.
Tighten

Tighten the oil pan bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
