Removal Procedure

  1. Pull back the rear compartment trim panel as required. Refer to COMPARTMENT TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR  .
  2. Use a grease pencil to mark the location of the rear compartment lid lock striker to the rear compartment for its location at installation.
  3. Remove the bolt from inside the rear compartment.
  4. Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to FASCIA REPLACEMENT - REAR BUMPER in Bumpers.
  5. Remove the rear compartment lid lock striker bolts from under the rear bumper fascia.
  6. Remove the rear compartment lid lock striker.
