Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to SEAT CUSHION REPLACEMENT -- REAR in Seats.
  2. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to SEAT BACK REPLACEMENT -- REAR (STATIONARY) or SEAT BACK FRAME REPLACEMENT -- REAR (FOLDING) in Seats.
  3. Remove the quarter lower trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR QUARTER LOWER (SEDAN)  .
  4. If equipped, remove the push-in retainers (1) from the rear seat sound barrier (2) using J 38778. 
  5. Remove the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR WINDOW SHELF  .
  6. If equipped, remove the jute overlay from around the speakers.
  7. Remove the rear seat sound barrier from the vehicle.
