Removal Procedure

- Remove the front seat head restraint. Refer to HEAD RESTRAINT REPLACEMENT - FRONT SEAT .
- Remove the manual lumbar handle and the trim ring, if equipped.
- Position the seat full forward and the seat back full up.
- Remove the seal belt nut to the seat stud. For the left, refer to SEAT BELT RETRACTOR REPLACEMENT - LEFT FRONT and for the right, refer to SEAT BELT RETRACTOR REPLACEMENT - RIGHT FRONT in Seat Belts.
- Unfasten the J-hook retainers at the bottom of the seat.
- Pull out the seat back cover end flaps.
- Position the seat back full down.
- Reach inside of the least back cover and unfasten the hook and loop retainers securing the front seat back cover to the pad.
- Position the seat back to the vertical position.
- If heated seats, pull up the trim cover one third.
- Disconnect the seat heater wire connector, light green, from under the seat cushion.
- Pull the wire through the back foam pad.
- Pull up the trim cover two thirds.
- Remove the seat back cardboard panel.
- Remove the front seat head restraint retainer. Refer to HEAD RESTRAINT RETAINER REPLACEMENT - FRONT SEAT .
- Remove the front seat back cover from the seat back by pulling the seat back cover up and over the pad.
