Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the seat to the adjuster assembly.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the frame to adjuster bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Position the seat back to the upright position.
  4. Connect the electrical harness to the adjuster cross brace.
  5. Connect the seat belt electrical harness, drivers seat only.
  6. Connect the electrical harness from the 3 electric motors.
  7. Install the lumbar adjuster relays to the motor bracket.
  8. Install the seat pad and trim cover J-retainers.

  9. Install the seat belt.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nut to 42 N.m (31 lb ft).

  10. Install the front seat trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - FRONT SEAT  .
  11. Install the front seat in the vehicle. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUCKET  .
  12. Inspect the power seat adjusters. Verify that the adjusters are in phase with each other. Refer to SEAT ADJUSTER PHASE ADJUSTMENT - POWER  .
