Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUCKET  .
  2. Remove the 2 rear roll pins (2).

    Discard the roll pins.

  3. Remove the 2 pivot bolts.
  4. For the passenger side only, disconnect the E/Z entry cable from the seat adjuster and the tie strap. Retain the cable to the seat bottom.
  5. Remove the emergency release lever knob.

    Discard the lever knob.

  6. Remove the seat back cover. Refer to SEAT BACK COVER REPLACEMENT - FRONT  .
  7. Remove the seat back lock bolts.
  8. Remove the inertia seat back lock assembly (1) from the seat.
