Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE FRONT DOOR  .
  2. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to WATER DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - FRONT DOOR  .
  3. Remove the rods from the inside door handle.
  4. Remove the clip securing the rods to the front door.

  5. Use side cutters in order to cut the clip that connects the outside handle rod from the lock.
  6. Unscrew the remainder of the clip from the outside handle rod.
  7. Discard the clip.

  8. Remove the screws (1,2,3) securing the lock to the front door.
  9. Remove the lock from the front door with the inside rods attached to the lock.

  10. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  11. Remove the window guides from the lock.
  12. Remove the inside door handle rods from the lock.
