Removal Procedure

  1. Open and support the hood.
  2. Use a small flat-bladed tool to lift up the retainer clips on the assist rod.

  3. Remove the upper end of the assist rod from the ball joint on the hood.
  4. Remove the lower end of the assist rod from the ball joint on the lower hood hinge.
