Conditions for Setting the DTC

The BCM will set DTC 8 whenever the BCM detects a lack of communication with the RCDLR, including any of the following conditions:

The RCDLR B+ supply is open or shorted to ground.
The RCDLR ground circuit is open or has high resistance.
The BCM detects an open in the keyless entry serial data circuit.
The BCM detects a short to ground in the keyless entry serial data circuit.
The BCM detects a short to voltage in the keyless entry serial data circuit.
