Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Connect the electrical connector to the ashtray bracket.
  2. Install the ashtray bracket to the I/P.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the upper ashtray bracket screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the lower ashtray bracket screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the ashtray to the bracket.
  6. Install the front floor console trim plate. Refer to TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FLOOR CONSOLE  .
  7. Install the I/P cluster trim plate. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER  .
