Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT: Remove the instrument panel (IP) upper trim slowly in order to prevent the retainer clips from falling into the IP.
  1. Lift up the instrument panel (IP) upper trim panel approximately 51 mm (2 in) and pull rearward in order to release the retainers.

  2. Rotate the sun load temperature sensor counterclockwise. Remove the sensor from the trim plate.

  3. Rotate the theft LED counterclockwise. Remove the theft LED from the trim plate.
  4. Rotate the daytime running light ambient light sensor counterclockwise. Remove the sensor from the trim plate.
  5. Remove the IP upper trim panel.
