Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery ground negative cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the left instrument panel (IP) insulator. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - Left .
  3. Remove the steering column filler. Refer to Steering Column Filler Replacement .
  4. Remove the knee bolster bracket. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement .
  5. Lower the steering column. Refer to STEERING COLUMN REPLACEMENT .

  6. Grasp both sides of the bottom edge of the instrument panel cluster (IPC) trim plate and pull out in order to release the retainer clips.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fog lamp switch.
  8. Remove the trim plate from the IP.
