Removal Procedure

CAUTION:

- Disconnect the battery ground negative cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE
.CAUTION: Refer to SIR CAUTION .
- Disable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING SYSTEM .
- Remove the instrument panel (IP) insulators. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - Left .
- Remove the left and the right carpet retainers. Refer to CARPET RETAINER REPLACEMENT - FRONT .
- Remove the side upper garnish moldings. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - WINDSHIELD PILLAR .
- Remove the IP upper trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - Instrument Panel (IP) Upper .
- Remove the front floor console, if equipped. Refer to CONSOLE REPLACEMENT - Front Floor .
- Remove the steering column filler. Refer to Steering Column Filler Replacement .
- Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement .
- Remove the steering column. Refer to STEERING COLUMN REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the IP cluster trim plate. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - IP Cluster .
- Remove the radio. Refer to RADIO REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the HVAC control module. Refer to HVAC MODULE ASSEMBLY .
- Remove the IP cluster. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Replacement .
- Remove the headlamp switch. Refer to HEADLAMP SWITCH REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the HUD dimmer switch, if equipped. Refer to Head Up Display Switch Replacement .
- Remove the HUD module, if equipped. Refer to Head Up Display Module Replacement .
- Remove the driver information center. Refer to Driver Information Center Module Replacement .
- Remove the IP compartment. Refer to COMPARTMENT REPLACEMENT - IP .
- Remove the IP compartment lamp. Refer to IP COMPARTMENT LAMP BULB REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the IP compartment lamp switch. Refer to IP COMPARTMENT LAMP SWITCH REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the IP trim pad bolts at the windshield.
- Remove the mounting bolts (1) from the lower trim pad.
- Remove the mounting bolt (1) from the IP cluster pocket.
- Position the IP wiring harness aside.
- Remove the IP trim pad from the vehicle.
