Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cables. On vans, remove the engine cover. See ENGINE COVER . On all models, remove the fuel line clip. Disconnect the fuel return hoses from the nozzle. Disconnect the fuel injection line. Cap the nozzle and the lines. Use Nozzle Socket (J 29873) to remove the injection nozzle.
  2. Apply an anti seize compound to the threads of the nozzle that contact the cylinder. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners properly. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Ensure that the PCM electrical harness is properly routed to avoid contact with the engine cover during installation.
