Removal & Installation

NOTE: Clean all of the line fittings that will be loosened or removed before service.
  1. Disconnect negative battery cables. Remove the intake manifold. See LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLD . Cover the intake ports with Manifold Cover Set (J 39664).
  2. Remove the injection line clips at the loom brackets. Disconnect the injection lines at the nozzles. Cap the lines and the nozzles immediately. Do not bend the injection lines. Remove injection lines at the pump. Cap the lines and the pump fittings immediately. Tag the lines for installation.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners properly. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
