Removal & Installation (C3500 HD)

  1. Remove the upper intake manifold cover. Open the air bleed valve on top of the fuel manager/filter to release any pressure in the fuel supply system. Remove the mounting bolts that connect the fuel manager/filter to the intake manifold. Remove the wiring harnesses and the fuel hoses. Remove the fuel manager/filter by lifting straight up. Remove the sensor mounting screws. Remove the sensor.
  2. Install the new water in fuel sensor and a new water in fuel sensor seal. Reconnect the sensor connector. Install the protective shield. Bleed the air from the fuel manager/filter if necessary. Install fuel tank filler cap. Tighten fasteners properly. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Lower the vehicle.
