Removal & Installation

The Crankcase Depression Regulator (CDR) valve is replaced as an assembly. Replace the hose, the pipe, and the grommet as required, if the inspection indicates cracks or decay. On vans, remove engine cover. See ENGINE COVER . On all models, remove the nut and the bracket for retaining the CDR valve. Remove the hose clamp at the CDR valve. Disconnect the hose from the CDR valve. Remove the CDR valve by pulling straight up. To install, put CDR valve into the valve cover. Connect the hose. Install the clamp. Install the CDR retaining bracket and nut. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners properly. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
