Installation Procedure

  1. Install the cooling fans.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the cooling fan shroud bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  3. Connect the engine cooling fan electrical connector.
  4. Connect the PCM wiring harness to the left side fan shroud clip.
  5. Install the transmission oil cooler lines to the lower fan shroud clip.
  6. Install the air cleaner assembly.
  7. Install the left and right engine mount struts. Refer to ENGINE MOUNT STRUT REPLACEMENT in Engine Mechanical - 3.1 L or ENGINE MOUNT STRUT REPLACEMENT - LEFT and ENGINE MOUNT STRUT REPLACEMENT - RIGHT in Engine Mechanical - 3.8L.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE in Engine Electrical.
