Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the engine mount strut.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the bolt and the nut to the left engine mount strut at the left engine mount strut bracket on the upper radiator support.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the engine mount strut bolt to 48 N.m (35 lb ft).

    Important:  The p-clip on the engine wiring harness must be vertical, as shown, to the left engine mount strut bracket when installed.

  3. Position the p-clip to the left engine mount strut bracket bolt.

    Important:  The engine mount strut bolt must always be installed as shown in the graphic.

  4. Install the bolt and the nut to the left engine mount strut at the left engine mount strut bracket on the engine.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the engine mount strut nut to 48 N.m (35 lb ft).
