Removal & Installation (8.1L)

- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air intake duct. Disconnect accelerator and cruise control cables. Disconnect vacuum hose from throttle body. Disconnect TP sensor harness connectors from throttle body.
- Remove throttle body retaining nuts. Remove throttle body assembly from intake manifold. Remove flange gasket and discard.
- Clean gasket surface on intake manifold and throttle body. Install NEW flange gasket. Install throttle body assembly. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Bleed cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM BLEEDING under COOLING SYSTEM.
