Removal & Installation

- Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Remove the low pressure regulator. See LOW PRESSURE REGULATOR . Remove the Low Pressure Lock-Off (LPL) mounting bolts. Remove the LPL bracket. Unscrew the LPL outlet elbow fitting and the LPL as an assembly from the LPR. Remove the LPL outlet elbow fitting. Remove the LPL inlet fitting.
- Install the LPL inlet fitting. Tighten the fitting finger-tight plus one to three turns. Install the LPL outlet elbow fitting. Tighten the fitting finger-tight plus 1 to 3 turns. Install the bracket and mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install the low pressure regulator. Start the engine and use Ultrasonic Leak Detector (J 41416) in order to inspect for leaks at each serviced fitting.
