Removal & Installation

- Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the CNG fuel tank shield. See FUEL TANK SHIELD . Disconnect the Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) sensor electrical connector. Remove the FTP sensor from the tank valve. Discard the "O" ring.
- Lubricate the new "O" ring face seal with petroleum jelly or equivalent before installation. Install the FTP sensor in the tank valve using a NEW "O" ring. Tighten the FTP sensor. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect the FTP sensor electrical connector. Connect the negative battery cable. Start the vehicle and use Ultrasonic Leak Detector (J 41416) in order to inspect for CNG fuel leaks at each serviced fitting. Install the CNG fuel tank shield. See FUEL TANK SHIELD .
