Removal & Installation (Fuel Hoses/Pipes Replacement - Front High Pressure Lock-Off (HPL) Solenoid-To-High Pressure Regulator (HPR) Union

- Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the fuel tank shield. See FUEL TANK SHIELD . Disconnect the fuel line fitting at the line union. Disconnect the fuel line from the front tank high pressure lock-off fitting. Remove the fuel line assembly from the vehicle.
- Install the fuel line assembly between the front tank and the fuel line union. Lubricate "O" ring with petroleum jelly or equivalent before installation. Connect the fuel line to the front tank high pressure lock-off fitting using new "O" rings. Tighten the fuel line fitting. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect the negative battery cable.
- Prime the CNG fuel system by cycling the ignition ON and OFF several times. Start the engine and use Ultrasonic Leak Detector (J 41416) in order to inspect for CNG fuel system leaks at each serviced fitting. Install the fuel tank shield. See FUEL TANK SHIELD .
