Transmission System Description & Operation

The New Venture Gear 1500 transmission is a 5-speed unit that is synchronized in all gears. The transmission has a 2 piece aluminum housing which consists of the following components:
- The Input Shaft
- The Mainshaft
- The Mainshaft Gears
- The Countershaft
- The Reverse Idler Gear
- The Shift Forks
- The Shift Shaft Components
The NV 1500 transmission is used in trucks with the 2.2 L engine.
