Installation Procedure

Install the thermostat bypass pipe.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
Install the thermostat bypass pipe bolt.
Tighten

Tighten the thermostat bypass pipe bolt to 11 N.m (98 Ib in).

Install the thermostat bypass pipe hose.
Use the J 38185 in order to reposition the hose clamp to the thermostat bypass pipe.

Install the thermostat bypass pipe nut.
Tighten

Tighten the thermostat bypass pipe nut to 25 N.m (18 Ib ft).

Install the heater outlet hose (2) to the thermostat bypass pipe.
Install the throttle body inlet (3) and outlet (4) hoses to the thermostat bypass pipe.

Install the radiator inlet hose to the water outlet housing.

Use the J 38185 in order to reposition and install the radiator inlet hose clamp to the water outlet housing.
Install the left spark plug wires to the left spark plugs. Refer to
Install the left engine mount strut. Refer to ENGINE MOUNT STRUT REPLACEMENT .
Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to AIR CLEANER INTAKE DUCT .
Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
Inspect for leaks.
