Rotating the Engine for Service Access

Tools Required 

J 41131  Engine Tilt Strap

  1. Disconnect intake air temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector.
  2. Remove the air inlet duct from the throttle body.
  3. Apply the parking brake.
  4. Put the transaxle in the Neutral position.
  5. Remove the engine mount struts. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right  and Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left .
  6. Install the J 41131  to the right strut mount bracket and the upper radiator support.
  7. Rotate the engine forward for component access.
