Installation Procedure

  1. Install the right engine mount strut bracket to the cylinder head.

  2. Install the electronic ignition module harness assembly to the stud, as shown.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the right engine mount strut bracket nuts and stud.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the right engine mount strut bracket nuts and stud to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  4. Install the right engine mount strut to the right engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left  and Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right .

  5. Install the supercharger drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement (L36)  or Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement (L67) .

  6. Install the upper supercharger drive belt idler pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement - Upper .
  7. Install the supercharger drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (L36)  or Drive Belt Replacement (L67) .

  8. Install the ignition coil. Refer to IGNITION COILS in Engine Controls - 3.8L.
  9. Connect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE .
