Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the right engine mount strut at the upper engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left  and Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right .

  3. Loosen the lower engine mount strut bracket nut.
  4. Remove the lower engine mount strut bracket bolts.
  5. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L36)  or Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L67) .
  6. Remove the EVAP emissions canister purge valve. Refer to EVAP CANISTER PURGE SOLENOID .

  7. Remove the upper engine mount strut bracket bolts.
  8. Remove the upper engine mount strut bracket.
