Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Coat the lifters with prelube GM P/N 1052365 or equivalent.
  2. Install the lifters to the same location from which they were removed.
  3. Install the lifter guide.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  4. Install the lifter guide bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the lifter guide bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the valve rocker arms and pushrods. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement .
  6. Install the lower intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement - Upper .
  7. Install the upper intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement - Lower .
  8. Install the right (rear) valve rocker arm cover. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Right .
  9. Install the left (front) valve rocker arm cover. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Left .
