Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the right engine mount strut from the right engine mount strut bracket.
  3. Remove the air conditioning compressor mounting bolts. Refer to COMPRESSOR REPLACEMENT (3.1 L) or COMPRESSOR REPLACEMENT (3.8L) .
  4. Remove and set the air conditioning compressor aside.

  5. Remove the bolts from the right engine mount strut bracket.
  6. Remove the right engine mount strut bracket.
