Removal & Installation (2.2L - VIN 4)

Ignition coils are located under air cleaner outlet duct. Fig 1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct from the air cleaner and resonator. Remove the Ignition Control Module (ICM) electrical connectors and spark plug wires. Remove the ignition coils bolts for the suspect coil. Remove the ignition coil. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten coil bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
