Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Sunfire and 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. TP sensor is located on side of throttle body. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator.
  2. Disconnect the TP sensor harness connector. Remove the throttle TP sensor screw(s). Remove the TP sensor and seal. To install, ensure throttle valve is in closed position. Install TP sensor on throttle body. Tighten the TP sensor screw to 18 INCH lbs. (2 N.m). To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
