Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Chevrolet Corvette. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Apply a 6 mm (0.25 in) X 100 mm (4 in) bead of thumb grade sealer to the roof bow and lock pillar overlapping the side retainer as shown.

  2. Peel the protective film from the foam tape on the new weatherstrip, or install two sided tape to a reused weatherstrip.
  3. Position the rear roof weatherstrip to the retainers on the roof bow.
  4. Insert the weatherstrip into the center retainer working from the center outward.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the screws into the upper corners of the rear weatherstrip.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the roof weatherstrip upper corner screws to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

  6. Insert the rear weatherstrip into the side retainers starting at the upper corners and working downward.
  7. Install the push in fasteners at the lower ends of the rear weatherstrip.
  8. Install the roof panel.
