Installation Procedure

  1. Position the latch with bracket to the rear body panel.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the nuts attaching the latch bracket.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the latch bracket mounting nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical harness.

  4. Install the rear/end corner carpet trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL CARPET REPLACEMENT - REAR CORNER (COUPE) or TRIM PANEL CARPET REPLACEMENT - REAR CORNER (CONVERTIBLE) or TRIM PANEL CARPET REPLACEMENT - REAR CORNER (HARDTOP) in Interior Trim.
  5. Install the rear floor side stowage compartment cover.
  6. Install the taillamps.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the taillamp mounting screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
