Installation Procedure

  1. With an assistant, position the lid to the hinges aligning the hinges with the marks on the lid.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the bolts attaching the hinges to the lid.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the rear compartment to lid hinge bolts to 31 N.m (23 lb ft).

  3. Remove the lid support and the protective cover.

  4. Install and adjust the overslam bumpers.

  5. Check the flushness of the forward edge of the lid to the adjacent panel.
  6. Adjust the alignment bumper as necessary to make the forward edge of the lid flush to the adjacent panel.
