Installation Procedure

CAUTION:
Do not attempt to repair or alter the head impact energy-absorbing material glued to the headliner or to the garnish trims. If the material is damaged, replace the headliner and/or the garnish trim. Failure to do so could result in personal injury.
- Install the headlining to the vehicle.
- Support the headlining.
- Install the retainer securing the rear edge of the headlining.
- Route the sunshade electrical connection through the headlining and the sunshade bezel.
- Install the sunshade bezels.
Insert the bezel into the opening until the snap fingers engage.
- Install the sunshades. Refer to SUNSHADE REPLACEMENT . NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
- Install the sunshade retainers.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (17 lb in).
- Remove the headlining temporary support.
- Install the windshield side garnish moldings. Refer to WINDSHIELD SIDE GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT .
- Install the trim panels to the front side of the rear compartment. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR COMPARTMENT FRONT SIDE (COUPE) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR COMPARTMENT FRONT SIDE (CONVERTIBLE) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR COMPARTMENT FRONT SIDE (HARDTOP) .
- Reposition the inside lip of the upper weatherstrips on the door window over the edge of the headlining.
