Installation Procedure

CAUTION:
Do not attempt to repair or alter the head impact energy-absorbing material glued to the headliner or to the garnish trims. If the material is damaged, replace the headliner and/or the garnish trim. Failure to do so could result in personal injury.
- Install the headliner retainer to the #3 bow.NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
- Install the headliner retainer screws to the #3 bow.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
- Install the headliner retainer screws to the #4 bow.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
- Install the support strap screws for the rear window to the #4 bow.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
- Install the retainer screws for the headliner elastic strap to the rear side rails.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
- Install the headliner screws to the rear side rails.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
- Install the retainers screws for the headliner elastic strap to the #5 bow.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
- Position the #1 and #5 bow up.
- Install the headliner retainer screws to the #2 bow.
Tighten
Tighten the to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
- Install the headliner extension push-on retainers to the #1 bow stud.
- Install the right and left side headliner screws to the #1 bow.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
- Staple the headliner to the #1 bow.
- Before stapling the top cover to the #1 bow, refer to FOLDING TOP SEAL COMPRESSION PANEL REPLACEMENT .
- Reposition the folding top to the original position.
