Removal Procedure

  1. Position the folding top in an open position with the number 1 and the number 5 bows up.

  2. Open the folding top stowage compartment lid.

  3. Remove the rear speaker covers.
  4. Remove the rear side support trim covers.
  5. Pull the carpet from behind the supports.
  6. Close the folding top stowage lid.

    Important:  Do not attempt to open the folding top stowage lid and the rear compartment lid at the same time. The panels will contact in the open position.

  7. Open the rear compartment lid.

  8. Remove the rear floor stowage compartment covers.
  9. Remove the center rear floor stowage compartment cover latch striker retainers by sliding the retainers toward the rear of the vehicle.

  10. Remove the rear corner carpet trim panels. Refer to TRIM PANEL CARPET REPLACEMENT - REAR CORNER (COUPE)  or TRIM PANEL CARPET REPLACEMENT - REAR CORNER (CONVERTIBLE)  or TRIM PANEL CARPET REPLACEMENT - REAR CORNER (HARDTOP) .

  11. Remove the rear compartment carpet.
