Diagnostic Aids

If the switch status on the scan tool goes from active when connected to inactive when disconnected, the switch contacts may be stuck.
If the fault is not current the problem may be intermittent. Refer to TESTING FOR INTERMITTENT AND POOR CONNECTIONS in Wiring Systems.
