Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Chevrolet Corvette. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Apply sealer GM P/N 12345739 (Canadian P/N 10953472), or equivalent to the forward end of the front side weatherstrip retainer (1).

  2. Apply a bead of sealer GM P/N 12345739 (Canadian P/N 10953472), or equivalent 6 mm (2.4 in) high around the front side retainer (1) in the following places:
    • At the front upper corner (3)
    • On both sides (2)

  3. Apply a drop of sealer GM P/N 12345739 (Canadian P/N 10953472), or equivalent (3) 12 mm (0.5 in) in diameter to the screw heads of the center side retainer.
  4. Remove the protective film from the adhesive on the weatherstrip.

  5. Install the side rail weatherstrip, as necessary.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the screw to the front side rail weatherstrip.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screw to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

  7. Reposition the top to the original position.
