Removal Procedure

Position the folding top with the #1 and #5 bow up.
Remove the #5 bow weatherstrip. Refer to WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT - FOLDING TOP (FRONT AND CENTER SIDE RAILS) or WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT - FOLDING TOP (REAR SIDE RAIL) or WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT - FOLDING TOP (NUMBER FIVE BOW) .

Use a pair of needle nose pliers to remove the top cover staples to the bow.

Pull top cover away from the bow.
Use a pair of needle nose pliers to remove the stay pad staples from the bow.
CAUTION: Refer to SAFETY GLASSES CAUTION in Cautions and Notices.
From the top of the bow, drill out the rivets from the top cover retainers.
Remove the top cover retainers.
