Removal Procedure

  1. Position the folding top with the #1 and #5 bow up.
  2. Remove the #5 bow weatherstrip. Refer to WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT - FOLDING TOP (FRONT AND CENTER SIDE RAILS)  or WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT - FOLDING TOP (REAR SIDE RAIL)  or WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT - FOLDING TOP (NUMBER FIVE BOW) .

  3. Use a pair of needle nose pliers to remove the top cover staples to the bow.

  4. Pull top cover away from the bow.
  5. Use a pair of needle nose pliers to remove the stay pad staples from the bow.
    CAUTION: Refer to SAFETY GLASSES CAUTION in Cautions and Notices.
  6. From the top of the bow, drill out the rivets from the top cover retainers.
  7. Remove the top cover retainers.
