Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Chevrolet Corvette. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the filler panel over the wheelhouse panel and behind the fender wheel opening flange.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the bolts attaching the filler panel to the wheelhouse panel.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the filler panel to the wheelhouse bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the bolts attaching the fender wheel opening to the filler panel.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fender wheel opening to the filler panel bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the bolts attaching the filler panel to the frame rail bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the filler panel to the frame rail bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the filler panel to the lower fender flange bolt.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the filler panel to the lower fender flange bolt to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION in Tires and Wheels.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
