Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Removal

Turn OFF the ignition. Partially drain the cooling system to below the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor. See Figure or Figure . Disconnect the ECT sensor electrical connector. Carefully remove the ECT sensor.
