Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix, 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, 2002 Chevrolet Impala, 2002 Buick Regal, and 2002 Buick Century. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. If removed, install the IAT sensor (1).

  3. Install the air cleaner intake duct to the MAF sensor (7).
  4. Install the air cleaner intake duct to the throttle body and the air cleaner assembly.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  5. Install the air cleaner intake duct clamps (2,6). Tighten the clamps to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
  6. Connect the MAF sensor electrical connector (5).
  7. Connect the IAT sensor electrical connector (3).
  8. Install the PCV tube (4) to the air cleaner intake duct.


  1. Install the air cleaner intake duct to the throttle body.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the air cleaner intake duct to the air cleaner cover. Tighten the air cleaner duct clamp to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
  3. Install the IAT sensor.
  4. Connect the IAT sensor electrical connector (3).
