Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the steering wheel inflator module. Refer to AIR BAG MODULES .
  2. Remove the horn electrical connector.
  3. Install J 42640  to the steering column.

  4. Remove the steering wheel set nut.
  5. Discard the steering wheel set nut.
  6. Install J 42120  and J 1859-A  to the steering wheel.
  7. Tighten the puller center screw against steering column shaft until the steering wheel slides off the steering column shaft.
  8. Remove J 42120  and J 1859-A  from the steering wheel.
