Removal Procedure

- Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure .
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery) Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) in Engine Electrical in the C/K Pickup Service Manual.
- Remove the tank cover (2). Refer to Fuel Tank Cover Replacement .
- Disconnect the fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor connector (1).
- Remove the FTP sensor (2) from the high pressure lock-off (HPL) solenoid.
